Here’s how I can help
I respond to all media inquiries and connect reporters with appropriate CFGF spokespersons. I am the chief storyteller and enjoy sharing meaningful stories of impact in our community.

Get to know Mary Jo:

What is the best part of your job?
Every day is different. Our community is challenged with many needs. I love interviewing donors, grantees, and those who benefit from the generosity of others. Telling these stories of impact is very fulfilling work.

Why do you love where you live?
We purchased the home my parents built in 1961, so it’s really “home.” Our little acre of diamonds in Flint Township means a lot to our family.

What music are you streaming?
I enjoy all kinds of music – rock n roll, pop, country, classical, and blues. Right now, my go-to is 80s Prime Country. Brings back fond memories of my first job out of college in north Texas, circa 1980.

Camping in Michigan’s beautiful state parks; and golf.

Dream vacation?
I dream of visiting Yosemite National Park with my family; and also, Austria to take a train ride into the mountains and visit The Sound of Music castle.
