Community Foundation of Greater Flint Scholarship Program
The majority of our scholarships use an online application that allows you to submit one application for all of the scholarships for which you are eligible. Note that some scholarships have a different application process.
The application portal will open on December 1, 2026.
Online Portal Application Steps:
Step 1: Prepare to Start Your Application
- Browse the scholarship descriptions offered through the Community Foundation.
- Preview a sample copy of the scholarship application.
- Watch a tutorial video and read articles here to help you get ready to begin the application
Step 2: Complete Your Application
- Begin the registration process and create your login credentials.
- Complete the Common Application, which determines eligibility, and our system will automatically match you with the scholarships you may qualify for. You may log in and out of the scholarship portal as needed.
- Upload supplemental materials. Some scholarships require additional documents (letters of recommendations, essays).
- Ask someone you trust to review your application – especially your essays – and provide feedback.
- Submit the application before the due date.
Step 3: Check Your Email
- Check your email often between the months of April and May to ensure you do not miss any updates on the status of your scholarship application(s).
