Neighborhoods Small Grants Program grant applications are now open and due by March 9, 2026. Those interested to learn more and get engaged can attend this year’s Connect the Blocks: Civic Saturday—now in-person!

Join us for the annual kickoff to the Neighborhood Small Grants Program grantmaking season.

This event is designed to bring neighbors, community organizers, and changemakers together to strengthen connections across Flint and surrounding neighborhoods. Participants will learn how to turn local ideas into action while building the relationships that support strong, healthy communities.

This year’s theme centers on:

  • Neighborhood connectivity
  • Neighborhood organization projects
  • Community resources
  • Grant eligibility and requirements
  • Civic health and civic participation

Whether you are a first-time grant seeker, a returning awardee, or a resident interested in making a difference on your block, this event will provide valuable information, practical tools, and opportunities to connect with others who are committed to community-led change.

Together, we’ll explore how organized neighborhoods, informed residents, and strong civic health help shape the future of our communities.
