A Really Awesome Veterinarian

Dr. Kendra Reynolds never had a Plan B. Her essay, at age of 13, detailed her desires to become a veterinarian. She followed through, graduated from Clio High School, attended Michigan State University, and returned home to practice her calling.

For 25 years Kendra has taken care of patients who cannot talk, including exotic pets. On this day her patients included a turtle with a neck laceration and a bearded dragon that wasn’t feeling so well.

Since 2013, she has served as a member of the Clio Area Community Fund Advisory Committee. “Serving on the committee makes me feel good inside. It’s nice to know you are doing something for the people who need and deserve it. There are a lot of people with need,” Kendra said.

While her days are spent at the Clio Animal Hospital, in her spare time you can find Kendra dancing the night away with husband Steve. The couple owns Studio 110, a local ballroom dance studio where Steve teaches professionally. As pro-am dancers, the couple enjoys supporting area fundraising events through dance performances.

A Clio girl through and through, Kendra believes in giving locally. When she and Steve were updating their will, the couple decided to designate a portion of their estate for the Clio community. In doing this, the Reynolds became members of the Community Foundation’s Legacy Society where their legacy of caring for the Clio area will be preserved for good, forever.
