The Art of Philanthropy
The Community Foundation of Greater Flint's Art of Philanthropy: 35th Anniversary Celebration was truly a night to remember. Whether you joined us in person or couldn't make it, we want to share the highlights of this unforgettable event with you.
We celebrated individuals who have made an extraordinary impact on our community. Michael Bila received the Philanthropic Advisor Award, Dr. Raymond Gist, DDS, received the Dr. Clement A. Alfred Humanitarian Award, and Lawrence E. and Valaria Conerly-Moon were honored with the Piper Family Philanthropy Award.
Guests enjoyed a delightful dinner catered by Redwood Steakhouse and Brewery, live entertainment provided by the Smooth Operation Project, and an interactive painting activity, fostering connections and creating lasting memories.
Piper Family Philanthropy Award: Honoring Lawrence and Valaria Moon
The Piper Family Philanthropy Award recognizes a legacy of extraordinary service, commitment, and generosity in furthering the mission of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint. Inspired by the heritage of generosity bestowed from generation to generation, the Piper Family is proud to announce the selection of Lawrence E. and Valaria Conerly-Moon as the fourth recipient of the Piper Family Philanthropy Award.
Gifts in honor of the family may be made to the Lawrence E. Moon Fund for Children and Youth that supports programs and services for children and youth in Genesee County, with special consideration for those residing in the City of Flint.
