Flushing Area Community Fund

The Community Foundation of Greater Flint serves all of Genesee County—an area comprised of many communities, each with its own history and character. The Flushing Community Fund Advisory Committee works with the Community Foundation’s professional staff to grow the community permanent endowment.

Tim Purman and his fellow Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Flushing came up with the idea to create a fund that would support projects benefiting the Flushing area. A fundraising drive led by the local Rotary Club raised $1,000 to help establish the Flushing Area Community Fund.

We call it Homegrown Philanthropy, and it’s helping to secure the future for generations to come.
