The Community Foundation of Greater Flint serves all of Genesee County—an area comprised of many communities, each with its own history and character. The Clio Area Community Fund Advisory Committee works with the Community Foundation’s professional staff to grow the community permanent endowment.
Alice Boyse, John Engelhart and Otis Stout helped form the Clio Area Community Fund through an initial fundraising drive that netted over $5,000 in its first year. Through the years, the Fund has supported community development, health, arts, recreation and education programs and service.
We call it Homegrown Philanthropy, and it’s helping to secure the future for generations to come.
